Synopsis: 

Set against the backdrop of famine, loss, and restoration, Ruth brings the beloved biblical story to life with warmth, depth, and emotional honesty. After losing her husband, Ruth—a Moabite widow—chooses to leave everything she knows to care for her grieving mother-in-law, Naomi. In a land where she is viewed as an outsider, Ruth must navigate rejection, hardship, and uncertainty while trusting the God she has chosen to follow.

As Ruth labors in the fields to provide for Naomi, her quiet faithfulness draws the attention of Boaz, a godly man whose compassion reflects the heart of God Himself. Through the ancient role of the kinsman redeemer, the story unfolds into a powerful testimony of redemption, provision, and God’s unseen hand at work in ordinary obedience.

With moments of humor, tenderness, and worship woven throughout, Ruth explores themes of loyalty, kindness to the stranger, God’s care for the vulnerable, and the beauty of faith lived out in everyday choices.
