Synopsis:
Evergreen is the kind of town that loves Christmas — carolers on every corner, a living nativity in the square, and an annual Christmas Eve celebration at the beloved Wenceslas Inn.
But not everyone is feeling the cheer.
When high school senior Max Kimball is forced to move to Evergreen during his final year of school, he resents everything about the town’s relentless optimism — and especially its Christmas traditions. Assigned to ring bells for charity in full Dickens costume, Max’s frustration begins to spiral into poor choices, strained relationships, and painful misunderstandings.
Meanwhile, the town prepares for its biggest night of the year: the Christmas Eve party at the Wenceslas Inn — a place founded on a legacy of generosity inspired by the legend of Good King Wenceslas.
As secrets surface and consequences unfold, Max is faced with a choice: continue looking inward at what he has lost, or begin seeing the needs of others around him.
With powerful, new original songs woven alongside classic Christmas carols, this three-act musical blends humor, warmth, and heartfelt storytelling. From comedic caroler moments to tender family conversations, from a living nativity to a stirring gospel finale, the show builds toward a powerful reminder:
The story of Wenceslas points to an even greater King — One who left heaven itself to rescue us.
Christmas at the Wenceslas Inn is a celebration of grace, humility, repentance, and redemption — the kind of Christmas story that moves audiences to laughter, tears, and worship.
